Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing https://safecast.site, installing SafeCast desktop applications (including SafeSend and SafePlay), or using any SafeCast service (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SafeCast provides secure video sharing and playback for authorized operators and their audiences. The Service includes, without limitation:
- SafeSend — a desktop encryption and sharing tool used by authorized operators to create secure links to video content.
- SafePlay — a desktop viewer application that decrypts and plays content delivered through authorized SafeCast secure links.
- Public website and demo flows — marketing pages and prospect-facing forms hosted at safecast.site.
End viewers who receive a secure link through SafePlay do not choose, configure, or see the underlying video host (for example, Google Drive or other sources configured by an authorized operator). SafeCast does not represent to customers or prospects that YouTube or any specific third-party platform is available as part of public demo or trial offerings unless explicitly agreed in writing.
3. Content and Upload Policy
You are solely responsible for all content you share, submit, or cause to be processed through the Service. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to distribute any content you submit or share via SafeCast.
SafeCast does not host full video files on its own infrastructure for operator sharing workflows; video streams are resolved transiently from sources you or your organization provide (such as publicly shared Google Drive files) or from infrastructure configured by authorized operators under separate agreements.
4. Acceptable Content & Demo Submissions
The following requirements apply to public demo requests, trials, marketing lead forms, and any API endpoints or web flows intended for prospects on safecast.site or operated by SafeCast for customer acquisition:
- Google Drive only. Submitted content must be the prospect's or customer's own video file hosted on Google Drive and shared with link access set to "Anyone with the link" with Viewer permission (public link, read-only).
- No YouTube or other streaming platforms. You may not submit YouTube URLs, or URLs from other third-party streaming or video hosting platforms, through SafeCast demo forms, marketing flows, or prospect-facing API endpoints.
- Ownership and rights. By submitting a demo request, you confirm that you own or control the Google Drive file and have the right to share it for evaluation purposes.
- Enforcement. SafeCast may reject, disable, or delete demo requests that violate this section. Repeated or deliberate attempts to use YouTube or other prohibited sources in violation of these Terms may result in rejection of the request, suspension of demo access, and termination of your access to the Service.
This section does not limit encrypted link workflows created by authorized operators using SafeSend under separate commercial or internal agreements. Those workflows are governed by your agreement with SafeCast and applicable law; end viewers still do not select or see the underlying host.
5. Google and YouTube Integration (Authorized Platform Use)
Certain SafeCast platform features for registered or authorized users may utilize Google OAuth for authentication and, where enabled under contract, YouTube or other Google API Services. This integration applies only where explicitly offered to authorized users—not to public demo submissions, which are limited to Google Drive public file links as described in Section 4.
Where Google or YouTube integration is enabled for your account:
- You grant SafeCast permission to perform the actions disclosed at the time of connection (for example, managing videos associated with your account).
- You agree to comply with the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy, in addition to these Terms.
- You acknowledge that use of Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements where applicable.
6. Prohibited Usage
You may not use the Service to:
- Distribute copyrighted or proprietary material without authorization.
- Upload, submit, or share content that is illegal, harmful, deceptive, or violates third-party rights.
- Submit YouTube or other prohibited third-party streaming URLs through demo, trial, or prospect-facing channels (see Section 4).
- Attempt to circumvent encryption, device binding, access controls, watermarking, or other security features of SafeSend, SafePlay, or the Service.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service except as permitted by applicable law.
7. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafeCast and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, including submission of prohibited demo content or attempts to circumvent Service security. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
